About Toluca Lake
Toluca Lake sits on what was once General Charles Forman's ranch, and the spring-fed pond at its center gave the neighborhood its name. In 1923, developers turned that land into the first bedroom community Los Angeles built in the San Fernando Valley. The Toluca Lake Company laid out four distinct villages, each with its own architectural character, and marked them with signs showing a swan gliding over rippled water.
When Warner Bros. opened its lot a block away in 1928, Hollywood found the lake. Amelia Earhart lived here. So did Bob Hope, for more than sixty years. The lake itself is still private, owned and maintained by the families whose homes surround it.
What makes Toluca Lake unusual is how separate it feels. The neighborhood is not really on the way to anywhere. It dead-ends at the golf course and the Los Angeles River beyond it, so most of the Valley drives past without ever turning in. Riverside Drive is the main street, lined with independent restaurants and shops that have been there for decades.
It is barely more than a square mile with about eight thousand people, and it runs on Little League and school pickup.

From Sherman Oaks Galleria: Head north to Ventura Blvd and turn right heading east. We're about 2 miles down on the right at 12448 Ventura Blvd, Studio City. Free parking lot in the back.
Easy to Get to from the 101 and 405
Whether you're coming off the 101 or cutting across from the 405, we're easy to get to. Ventura Blvd runs straight through and we've got a free parking lot so you're not hunting for street parking.
From the 101/405 area: Take the 101 East and exit at Laurel Canyon Blvd. Head south on Laurel Canyon then turn left on Ventura Blvd heading east. We're about 0.4 miles down on the right at 12448 Ventura Blvd, Studio City.
Right on Ventura Blvd, Not a Side Street
We're on Ventura Blvd itself at 12448, which makes us easy to find and easy to get in and out of. Free parking in our own lot. We're open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm, and Sunday 9am to 3pm.
Weekday mornings are the calmest if you have a little one who does better with less noise around.
